NYHSW Health Program
NYHSW was founded to provide training and an environment to help make our community a healthier place. Exercise is crucial for youth health and development as it strengthens bones and muscles, improves cardiovascular health, helps maintain a healthy weight, and reduces the risk of chronic diseases like type 2 diabetes.
Exercise also boosts mental well-being by reducing stress and anxiety and enhances cognitive functions, leading to better academic performance. Additionally, physical activity promotes the development of social skills through teamwork and provides a foundation for a lifelong healthy lifestyle.
